Projects & Photo workshops

Over the past few years within my own personal work I have been exploring the role of the photographic image in context to contemporary British culture and the ‘everyday’. My work focuses on whatever catches my eye on my travels like most photographers, However I try to inject a little bit of something personal in to every image I make. My work covers a lot of areas from documentary & Street to the everyday, nature and landscape.

The majority of these photographs have been taken using medium and large format cameras. I feel the use of the black and white film gives the images a somewhat timeless quality. On a higher level some of my photographic work studies the current global recession, and the rest simple studies things that catch my eye... the exact same thing that I fell in love with photography when I was 15 years old wondering around with my old canon T50 (which is now immortalised in the company’s logo)

If you would like to see more of my work on film please feel free to take a look at my Documentary and street photography website at http://www.chrishillphotography.co.uk
